Do you offer packages?
Yes – We offer pop top roof packages that group together the most popular options and also extends a group purchase discount to you. Get in touch with us with your desired specification and we’ll match it to our most suitable package.
How much for a pop top?
We have various prices and options for our Pop Tops. We have tried to be as transparent and customisable as possible for each and every customer.
The reason for this is that every vehicle/pop top installation is different. All of our prices for everything that we offer are located on the Poptops page, alongside all our options.
Here is a brief overview of some pricing:

What is included the price of a pop top?
This price is the starting point for a roof install, it includes – Main Roof Shell (in white or black gel coat), Standard Canvas (Charcoal Grey), Fitting to the vehicle. This would leave the vehicle interior metal work visible. All extras such as lights, carpeting, roof beds and panoramic canvasses are optional extras. You can find the prices at the bottom of our pop-top roof page.
What is the lead time on a pop top?
Our lead time can vary week to week so it is advisable to consider a usual lead time of approximately 4 – 8 weeks from date of deposit. Once again, this can vary at all times, so please call up to find out the exact lead time.
Can you install a pop top if the van is already converted?
If you’re looking to have a pop top installed but your van is already converted, then you may be wondering if it is still possible to install the pop top?
Yes, this is still possible however we will either need to see the vehicle in person or have some photos of the vehicle’s interior and exterior. We charge a small extra labour charge starting from £150 to work around pre-converted vans. What does SWB or LWB mean?
SWB = Short Wheel Base
LWB = Long Wheel Base
What if my Van is already carpeted?
If your van is already carpeted, but you don’t have a conversion, then you will most likely need to opt for the Roof Area Carpeting option. This will ensure that when we install the pop top, the roof frame and metal work will not be left exposed, but instead be trimmed and finished in carpet.
Does the Scenic Canvas come as standard on the STORM Roof?
No, you can still have the “Standard” Canvas on the Roof. The Scenic option is £250. The Standard STORM canvas still comes with the 3 windows and the front window also fully unzips.
What are the main benefits of the Bi-fold bed compared to the standard roof bed?
The Bi-Fold Bed Option takes the roof bed a step further by adding another hinge and another set of gas struts to allow the bed to elevate in a cantilever design. This provides a massive increase in head room at the rear of the campervan. As always, maximising the space inside the campervan is of top priority with any layout, therefore we thoroughly recommend this option.
What are the main benefits of the cover panel?
The cover panel hides the otherwise unsightly bottom of the canvas from the cockpit. It adds a fantastic finishing touch.
Do we convert other vans?
Please check our quote builder for the other vehicles we can install pop tops to. We also carry out services such as carpet lining to other vehicle models. Please enquire directly with us for your particular vehicle model and required service.
Do we do full conversions?
At present, we are no longer taking bookings for full conversions. We see ourselves now as a predominately Pop Top Specialist, whilst still being able to offer the other related services at the same time such as carpet lining, window fitting, diesel heaters, electrical installs, Slidepods, etc.
Can we do supply only on Pop Tops?
Yes, we are now able to offer full kits with delivery if you wish to install the pop top yourself. It's a tough call, allowing someone to cut a big hole in your pride and joy! We looked at several different people to fit a pop-top roof to our T5 and after visiting them, we settled on Cosmic Campervans in Derby. The reasons for this; M1 crash certificate for the roof, professional organisation, good options and a good online presence.We are very pleased with the work done and the roof itself, it makes such a difference to our van and how we use it.Go for the bi-fold bed option, it makes such an improvement for the space inside.Remember, you get what you pay for and unless you absolutely have to get it done as cheap as possible, Cosmic are well worth a look.

They have just converted my Vauxhall Vivaro Van with a Drivelodge pop up roof. I went for the option with LED lights and carpeting. The standard of workmanship is excellent and very professional. I really genuinely cant recommend these guys enough. I had storm pop top fitted in the Mrs new T5 pride and joy, with scenic canvas, lights and carpeting.The standard of work was fantastic, genuinely, the care they have shown and level of service is amazing.We drove a fair distance to go to them as they offered the carpeted sliding hatch cover , and the overall standard of dealing with them from quote onwards was fantastic.I have to give a special mention to Roger who's communication, throughout the process was exceptional, sending us photos of the work in progress, facilitating drop off out of hours, and picking me up from the station and dropping me off when i collected the van. The van came back cleaned and i was given a full walkthrough of how to operate and secure the pop top.Mega impressed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. At the end of the day having a big hole cut in your roof is a worrying experience and not something you want rushed or not done properly and these guys were brilliant, and reassuring throughout.Thanks Cosmic 🙂

I commissioned Cosmic Campervans to install a full lining package, speakers, a Storm pop-top roof, a heater, inverter and a few other extras into my VW Transporter. Dario and his team were fantastic from start to finish. They were responsive and accommodating throughout several rounds of requests that I made during the booking process, gave me regular updates during the build, and a full overview of the new fittings on completion. I can't wait to take my van out on some adventures in 2023. I will add some photos to this review when I do. Recently had a wind out awning fitted and the service was brilliant. Really quick response to the initial enquiry with costs and timescale explained. Then the job was carried out perfectly and they were really helpful discussing other available options for my van. They even took the time to show me how to collapse my pop top correctly!!Because of the service, and real enthusiasm for work they do, I would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone.
